DEFECTIVE RETURNS

If the item you wish to return is inoperable, but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective. The instructions on how to handle this type of return will vary, since some manufacturers insist on handling defects directly. Please refer to manufacturers return / warranty process located in the item's manual or call / email 45N81W Trading Post Inc. for help.

DAMAGED RETURNS

Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with apparent shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please email us at orders@45n81w.com immediately.

Please save all packaging material and paperwork; do not throw anything away! If you attempt to return the merchandise yourself, you will jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return. We recommend taking pictures and/or even videos to document the damage immediately upon noticing. Damaged item claims are handled through the shipping carrier. 45N81W Trading Post Inc. will be happy to assist our customers in these claims. Please note that some processes may take longer than desired for full conclusion of the claim and as such, thank you for your patience.


SHIPPING

45N81W Trading Post Inc. uses a variety of shippers. We reserve the right to choose the shipper. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate requests for preferred shippers. While reasonable timing estimates will be provided, 45N81W Trading Post Inc. cannot guarantee delivery timing once the order has left our facilities and is in the hands of the shipper.

Delivery of the item is subject to policies of the shipper including but not restricted to signing for the shipment, duties, leaving the parcel unattended etc. We reserve the right to request a signature for proof of delivery. 

45N81W Trading Post Inc. is not responsible for theft or damage to the merchandise once delivered. When using a forwarding company, 45N81W Trading Post Inc. is not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise after the forwarding company has accepted delivery. The forwarding company must report shipping damage for a claim to be filed. 45N81W Trading Post Inc. is not responsible for delays in express delivery orders due to extenuating circumstances including but not limited to weather, traffic, failed attempted deliveries, etc. Export documentation will not be provided. All orders over $100 CDN* receive free shipping size restrictions may apply (see below).

Free shipping covers basic shipping within Canada. You are required to purchase shipping insurance for your order for your protection and ours. Handling fee is $1.80 and insurance is $2.25 per $100. Free shipping applies to online orders only. Remote area surcharge may be applied. Customers will be contacted after order is placed.

A shipping confirmation email including carrier specific tracking information will typically be sent within 24 hours of an item shipping falling on the next business day as applicable.
